Truth is not punishment. It is the ground strong enough to hold your next life.
The song of this Gate is “Ma'at”. Visit the Music Page
Ma'at personified truth, justice, moral integrity and cosmic order in ancient Kemet. She is commonly recognised by the ostrich feather worn on her head. The concept of Ma'at extended beyond a single goddess: it expressed right order in personal conduct, society, kingship and the cosmos.
In funerary imagery, the heart could be weighed against the feather of Ma'at. This was not merely an image about punishment after death. It expressed the profound importance of how a life had been lived.
Balance is not pretending that every side carries equal truth. Peace without honesty is often only silence arranged to protect the powerful.
The Gate of Truth asks whether your words, choices, relationships and spiritual identity are in right relationship with what you know inside. It also asks where shame has distorted honest accountability.
At this Gate, the heart is not weighed to declare you good or bad. It is listened to. What has made it heavy? What truth has remained unspoken? What belongs to you, and what weight was placed there by someone else?
Ma'at restores order through truth, responsibility and correction. The Gate does not ask for perfection. It asks for alignment.
Write one decision at the top of a page. Beneath it, answer three questions: Is it true? Is it mine? Does it create greater integrity? Sit with the answers before taking action.
Truth clears the ground. Sacred power decides what will stand upon it.
The Seven Gates are experienced in their full depth at Nubian Royals Sanctuary on Heissa Island, Aswan. This is a carefully held journey through sacred teaching, water, sound, rest, ceremony, ancestral remembrance and the living presence of the Nile.
For women ready to return to truth, power, memory and embodied purpose.
