Where You Are Going

300 Metres from the Temple of Auset.
3,000 Years from the Modern World.

Heisa Island sits in the sacred waters of the Nile — the last standing Nubian island, untouched by cars, crowds, or the noise of modern life. 700 Nubians call it home. Ancient trees line the banks. The stars here are so close you can almost touch them.

Next door is the Philae Temple — the final sanctuary of the goddess Auset, where her sacred rites were performed until the 9th century. This is not backdrop. This is living power. When you arrive, you will feel it immediately.

There are no hotels here. No wellness chains. No yoga tourists. There is only this island, this river, and the ancient healing intelligence that has been waiting here for you.

What Guests Say

Reviews from
the Nile.

"I arrived exhausted, estranged from my own body, and quietly desperate for something I couldn't name. By day three on Heisa Island, I was crying in the Nile — not from sadness, but from the sheer relief of being seen. I left with something I'd spent 40 years looking for."
S.M., 42 · London, UK
"The combination of the healing work with Dhyani, the music ceremonies, and being on that island next to Philae — there is nothing like it anywhere in the world. I've done retreats in Bali, Peru, India. Heisa is in a different category entirely."
R.A., 37 · New York, USA
"Dhyani doesn't just run a retreat. She holds a field of consciousness. I have recommended this to every person I love. It is not a holiday. It is a homecoming."
T.O., 51 · Lagos, Nigeria

Your Questions

Everything You
Need to Know.

Do I need spiritual experience?
Not at all. Many guests arrive with no background in healing or ceremony — only a feeling that something in their life is ready to shift. The only requirement is an open heart.
Is this safe for solo women travellers?
Yes, completely. Heisa Island has a tight-knit Nubian community that is deeply hospitable. All transfers and movement are handled by Dhyani's team. Over 60% of guests travel as solo women.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 4 weeks of booking, you receive a 70% refund of your £500 deposit. After that window, deposits are non-refundable but can be applied toward a future retreat group.
How do I get to Heisa Island?
Fly into Aswan International Airport (ASW). We arrange your private felucca transfer from Aswan port — a 15-minute journey on the Nile. Full instructions provided upon booking.
Can I come if I'm not a woman?
The Seven Gates of the Nile is exclusively for women. If you are a man feeling called to the Nile, The Knights of the Round Table is your journey. Visit the Knights page to apply.
